Matrix Reimprinting

There are so many wonderful techniques that have been developed by EFT Masters and others from around the world. Carol Look,  Lindsay Kenny, Pat Carrington and Rue Haas are a few of the Masters whose techniques I have incorporated into my sessions with wonderful results. Matrix Reimprinting however, developed by EFT Master Karl Dawson, has blown me away as an awesome technique for both self care and client care.  MR is an EFT based technique that also includes the science of Quantum Physics.  What Quantum Physics has taught us (think of the movie ‘what the bleep’) is that we are all comprised of energy and we all have an energy field or matrix around us.  Information is stored in this field and we access it with our subconscious.  For instance, as an example,  my girl cat (not the boy cat, mind you) can tune into this field with amazing acuity. She can be in the opposite side of the house and when I start unwrapping the raw chicken from the fridge she somehow immediately appears at my feet. Now she would not have been able to hear me nor smell it in the time it takes for her to appear. She simply tunes into the ‘raw chicken’ frequency and makes a mad dash to the kitchen.  We too can tune into this field almost as easily as my cat. 

With MR, we can tune into past events and negative experiences that are still very alive out there in our matrix where they continue to effect our current lives. As Karl Dawson states, we hold our past traumas in this field or matrix, not just as memories,  but as specific energy bodies.  He calls these energy bodies  Energy Consciousness Holograms or ECHOs. With Matrix Reimprinting we can work directly with these ECHOs and rewrite or reimprint on the events of our past. By resolving past events clients can greatly enhance their current lives and belief systems.

Why see an EFT Practitioner?

Enjoy this short video about EFT and learn how we can heal ourselves with this universal healing aid. 

Why would you see an EFT Practitioner if EFT is such an amazing self help tool? Oftentimes you can clear up long standing  issues by simply applying the technique on yourself without needing to understand the science behind it. However, there are times when you get stuck, when the issue will not budge. This is when it helps to have a practitioner ‘unstick’ you.

Sometimes the unconscious mind does not feel safe in letting a distressing memory come to the surface.  It’s safer to ‘not go there’ and frankly, as human beings we are quite good at suppressing our negative thoughts and emotions. Yet keeping these emotions clamped down does nothing for us in the long run. The unconscious will continue to find ways of drawing your attention to the problem through physical manifestations or unwanted emotional states.

The EFT practitioner can provide a safe space for these memories to rise to the surface. We have techniques that allow us to ‘sneak up’ on the issue making the process relatively painless. It is also very healing when you combine the energy and intentions of the client and practitioner.

EFT in Orlando

Lately I’ve been hooked on the website www.ted.com which stands for Technology, Entertainment, and Design. It started out as an annual conference to bring together the best thinkers in these categories and challenged them to give the best talk of their lives for 18minutes. It has since grown and now there are TED conferences around the world.

 

I’ve been mentally chewing on the video from nueroanatomist Jill Bolte Taylor who had the unique opportunity to get inside her own brain during a massive stroke. The stroke was on the left side of her brain so it disrupted her logical, linear thinking. Her right brain was fine and it was here in the right side, that she felt her energy body. It was here that she felt connected to the world as if she were one with it.

Another delightful video is Bob Thurman’s “Becoming Buddha”. Thurman is the first American to be ordained a Tibetan Monk by the Dali Lama.

Many of these videos represent the shift in consciousness that we see happening around the world. Here in my home city of Orlando we have a perfect example of this shift. In January of 2007, Donna Eden came to town for an evening seminar. After the seminar I heard about a local Donna Eden Energy Medicine study group that met once a month. I started attending the study group that next month and was one of a dozen people. Over the course of 2007 that amount grew to an average group size of 50-60. In fact, the study group leaders, Frank Dowler and Cindy Haight had to move the group to a bigger room at the Hospital where the meetings are held. Thank you Frank and Cindy!

 Energy Psychology and Energy Medicine are at the forefront of this shift. 

EFT, Emotional Freedom Techniques is the most popular form of Energy Psychology and it has been growing exponentially in the last two years. Emotional Freedom Techniques

EFT- A Universal Healing Aid

With all the talk about ‘The Secret’ and ‘What the Bleep’ do you still find yourself  operating in the same patterns and beliefs? You’ve done all the positive affirmations and were careful in monitoring your thoughts and still nothing has happened.  Positive affirmations are wonderful but they are missing a crucial component- that of clearing away the debris of negative emotions. EFT, emotional freedom techniques,  functions as the missing link to clear away negative emotional debris. 

EFT was developed by Stanford engineer, Gary Craig, as a simplification of an earlier technique called Thought Field Therapy. Gary studied Thought Field Therapy and then elegantly simplified it,  making it easy to learn and memorize. The foundational theory of EFT is “all negative emotions are a disruption in the body’s energy system”.

EFT is the emotional version of acupuncture but without the needles. In fact, EFT practitioners use the same acupuncture points as used in Chinese Medicine to get to the body’s electrical system.  It is within the physical electrical field of our bodies that all emotion, trauma, stress and negative beliefs are stored. By tapping on these points, while focusing on the issue at hand, we are able to lessen and entirely clear the previously stagnant or blocked energy. 

 As an example, say you have a fear of snakes. For some people even the mention of the word ‘snake’ sets off a cascade of chemicals in the body activating the fear response. In EFT, we know that it is not ‘the snake’ that is causing the emotional response; it is the disruption in the energy system that is at fault. There is a zzzt in the energy system that makes it go haywire when you think of ‘snake’. EFT will neutralize this zzzt by clearing the disruption in the energy system along the affected meridian and the ‘fear of snakes’ will disappear.

Client…”I was always afraid of snakes and would scream and jump at the sight of one. My heart would race and it would take me a while to calm down. After doing EFT my fear disappeared. In fact, I saw a snake the other day in the back yard as I was doing yard work and my only response was “oh, snake”. I didn’t jump or scream. I was completely neutral about the whole thing and it wasn’t until a few minutes afterwards that I realized how well the EFT treatment had worked”. 

 ”All emotions are gentle and short lived, unless we resist feeling them’.

As humans, we are meant to process through our emotions. Unfortunately, in today’s society and especially in this country, we are encouraged not to show our emotions. This results in a clamping down of our feelings, stuffing them down in our body so our conscious mind does not have to deal with them. Over time, this clamping down affects the flow of healing energy through the body (what the Chinese call Qi). According to Dr Paul Goodwin, wherever stress and negative emotions are stored in the body a sort of “functional boundary condition is set up in the nervous system”. As a result of a functional boundary, the flow of healing energy gets blocked. This may explain why some chronic conditions persist. For instance, we know from biology that the lining of the stomach replaces itself every seven days or so. So why is it that ulcers are not gone in seven days? Why do they often persist even after many generations of entirely new cells have been created? The problem persists when an energetic blockage is preventing the body’s healing energy from getting to the stomach area.

EFT is the universal healing aid to clear these blockages.

A typical session involves validating the presenting emotion and clearing it through an easy, painless tapping process. It really is that simple. To use EFT there is no need to relive painful memories or traumas by going over them in excruciating detail. All that is needed to release an energetic blockage with EFT is focused attention on the emotion at hand while tapping on the body’s meridian to stimulate the flow of energy through the emotion until the emotion is no longer present.

Because EFT really is that simple, it can easily be tried on anything without fear of making something worse. Some issues can be cleared in minutes while others may take 3-4 sessions.
